Youth & Children’s Ministries

<back to Topics>

NorthPark is a church that values children and youth.

While we understand we can never take the place of a strong Christian home, we do everything possible to share and teach Christian teaching and values for the young people who attend our church.  Age-graded activities are provided for children and youth at all of our services.

Nursery and Toddler classes are provided each time we meet for

Children from birth through two years of age.  Caring teachers help our youngest children learn of God’s love in a safe, caring environment.

Pre-Schoolers (3 to 5 year olds) meet in the “Godly Play Room”.

This is extended care on Sunday morning from 9:30 to Noon, helping children use all five senses to learn about Jesus and His world.

King’s Kids is for children who are Kindergarten through 6th grade.  So our children can experience “big church”, they worship in the Celebration Center until just before the Sunday morning sermon begins.  They are then dismissed for age appropriate activities and can be picked up in the West hall (closest to Highway 39) after the Morning Service.

Jr. & Sr. High Youth have their own Sunday School classes and Fellowship times.  They meet on Sunday evenings at 6:30, Tuesday afternoon at 4:00, and Wednesday’s at 7:15 for fun, Bible study, and learning how to live for Jesus in today’s world.  For more information on youth, contact Pastor Scott Dent at 482-1322 or scott@npchurch.net

Church of God in Bremen Germany   http://www.gego-bremen.de

Here a little bit about Bremen from Marco Hort webmaster@gego-bremen.de:

Bremen has about 600.000 habitants…The CHOG in Bremen bevor 2000 I think it was dying and by and by more people was living the church. There were a few people in the services, one or two children, no youth...

End of 1999 beginning from 2000 my parents came to serve in the CHOG of Bremen (after a long story how these occurred to move from Brazil to Germany and I think it was GODs guidance ) and GOD has given the Church in Bremen a new chance with a new leader/Pastor and we are happy that the church is in all moving forward.

The church in Bremen is now going better. We are so thankfull that we could move to an another building where it is a little bigger and attractive to new people to come and visit us and hear the good news. We have a lot of debts but all plans to move occurred with love, unity and conformity (we build about 3 years reforming by ourselfs) - that is grace! Now we have a few smallgroups, a lot of childrens and a few youth. And also a few people from the south of Amerika are serving GOD here -  we have a "Spain-small-group" :-) We pray forward that GOD give us a bridge to the lost one and that he send us new workers and guidance us with HIS love and wisdom! We praise GOD that he gave us new people and new possibilities! These is a very short version story and guidance from the last 7 years from Bremen :-) Please, if we have questions about the church or something else, I will try to give you answers.”  Marco Hort
